Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Sr Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex public safety software, including body cameras, in-car video, and backend evidence management for government and public safety clients.

The role bridges high-level system design with on-site deployment, ensuring seamless integration of wireless infrastructure and evidence management solutions at client sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Public Safety software application system implementation experience.
• Computer hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP computer networking and design experience (wired and wireless).
• Ability to pass a background check and/or security clearance for a customer as necessary.
• LTE Network Modem/Router background.
• Technical writing experience and the ability to deliver technical information to a nontechnical audience.
• Basic knowledge of Radio Voice Communications Networks.
• Basic knowledge of Motorola Solutions Public Safety Applications.
• Knowledge of Public Safety operations.
• This position is subject to CJIS Security Policy and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real time command center software.
• Responsible for being the technical solution owner of a project.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and solicit system implementation team for design.
• Conduct customer facing technical requirements discovery sessions for system configuration.
• Builds relationships with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and key technical subject matter expert teams.
• Provide customer product training (in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain the infrastructure supporting wireless communications systems at Client site.
