Job summary

Motorola Solutions in United States (Maine, Portland) seeks a Sr Engineer for Systems Design & Implementation to lead the deployment of body cameras, in-car video, and real-time command center software for public safety clients.

The role bridges high-level system design with on-site deployment, ensuring seamless integration of wireless infrastructure and evidence management for critical customers. Initial scope includes security clearance and CJIS policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Public Safety software application system implementation experience.
• Computer hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP networking design experience (wired and wireless).
• Ability to pass background check and/or security clearance for customer.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, digital evidence management systems, and real-time command center software.
• Serve as technical solution owner of a project.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and coordinate with design teams.
• Conduct customer-facing technical requirements discovery sessions for system configuration.
• Build relationships with sales, project managers, internal engineering, product, and other SME teams.
• Provide customer product training (in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain infrastructure supporting wireless communications at client site.
