The City of Fresno is seeking experienced Emergency Services Dispatchers II to provide prompt public safety response. Dispatchers will operate a multi-channel CAD system, assess incidents, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources with independent judgment. Certification within 12 months is required.

Work may include weekends/holidays with varying shift hours; salary includes shift pay and related benefits per city ordinance.

Qualifications

• Possession of a HS Diploma or equivalent GED completion.
• Two years of experience equivalent to a Emergency Services Dispatcher II with the City of Fresno; must type 40 words per minute on a keyboard.

Responsabilités

• Answers emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS; collects incident data and enters into CAD.
• Determines priority and response and dispatches units using CAD and radio systems.
• Receives/transmits coded messages to/from personnel and field units.
• Advises callers of procedures if no emergency is required.
• Maintains computer records of communications traffic.
• Inputs driver license data and warrants via CAD to CLETS/NCIC for officers.
