The City of Chino is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher II to serve as the first point of contact during emergencies, coordinating emergency response in a fast-paced environment. A1 year CAD experience or eligibility for rehire within the last year is required, plus a 40 WPM typing certificate and related training.

Role includes operating dispatch equipment, maintaining logs, and supporting police communications with professionalism and calm under pressure.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of current, full-time experience operating a public safety CAD system or eligibility for rehire as a dispatcher within 1 year.
• Typing certificate showing 40 net WPM with ≤10 errors is required.
• Experience with SunGard/OSSI CAD is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch police and units.
• Maintain radio contact and track units’ locations and status.
• Enter and retrieve information in CAD and other databases.
• Provide information and referrals to the public and other agencies.
• Operate and test public safety telecom equipment and adapt to fast-paced conditions.
