Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Four years of procurement experience in public or private sector
• Experience with policy development and supplier training

Responsibilities

• Develops training modules and mentors city employees and suppliers
• Prepares detailed reports, presentations and debriefings
• Determines solicitation method for complex procurements
• Facilitates evaluation of proposals and vendor negotiations
• Executes procurement of professional services and discretionary contracts in line with policies
• Advises department personnel on procurement processes
• Conducts market research on goods and services to assess trends and opportunities
• Plans and executes procurement processes including specifications, pricing, bids, and evaluations
• Prepares award recommendations and coordinates with City Council
• Performs related duties as required
