Job summary

BDO USA is hiring a Senior Consultant, Public Housing Authority to oversee full-cycle accounting for affordable housing clients. You will lead the preparation of housing subsidy applications, perform HUD reporting, and deliver accurate financial statements while guiding junior staff.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting and some supervisory experience, with a Bachelor's in Accounting and CPA pursuit. Strong communication, project management, and attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; focus in Accounting preferred.
• Three or more years of accounting experience required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• One or more years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle general accounting for clients in affordable housing.
• Lead preparation and submission of housing subsidy applications and federal funding.
• Provide basic and advanced accounting services including year-end reconciliations and HUD reporting.
• Review workpapers and ensure compliance with client requirements and quality standards.
• Interact with clients to gather information and deliver timely deliverables.
