Job summary

WSP is seeking a Protective Relaying Engineer - Lead Professional for our Seattle, WA office. Candidates near Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC will also be considered, with remote work possible from a mutually acceptable US location. You will join the ESSP team to design, engineer, and study protection systems for critical power assets.

Leadership and mentorship of junior engineers are expected. The role involves various system protections, coordination studies, and adherence to IEEE/ANSI/NERC PRC

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain one.
• 7–10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer on protective relaying projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and study protection systems for bulk power equipment.
• Lead client project teams, provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Support data collection during onsite visits and discuss project specifics with clients.
