Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Senior Engineer (Protection Solutions) to lead protection and control projects for medium- voltage distribution networks. You will configure, test, and provide technical support for protection systems, integrate S&C switchgear with third-party IEDs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required.
Master’s degree in Power Engineering is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead in design, FAT, and execution of protection and control schemes for MV power systems.
Develop, test, and support commissioning of distribution automation and source transfer applications.
Assist in proposal development by supplying detailed cost estimates and technical insights.
Support Field Service with commissioning activities and post-commissioning support.
Provide training materials and lead training sessions for customers and S&C team members.
Stay updated with technology advancements and apply findings to projects.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standard work practices.
Ensure safety practices and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
