Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Lead Protection & Controls Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of protection, control, SCADA, and communication systems for medium- and high-voltage substations.

You will oversee engineering teams and act as the primary client interface through concept to commissioning. You will lead protection and control engineering for utility, renewable energy, data center, and industrial power

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
12+ years of experience in electric utility, consulting, or power delivery engineering.
Extensive experience with substation protection and control systems.
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and complex design projects.
Strong knowledge of protective relays, SCADA systems, communications protocols, and utility standards.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients on protection and control projects.
Lead the design and implementation of protection and control systems for substations ranging from 12 kV through 765 kV.
Develop and review protection one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, protection schematics, and relay settings philosophies.
Mentor engineering staff and drive technical excellence while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
