Job summary

Lancesoft in White Plains, NY is seeking a Senior P&C Engineer I to lead protection and control design for critical power infrastructure. You will analyze disturbances, develop relay schemes, and ensure compliance with NERC standards while guiding project teams across design, testing, and field activities.

The role requires expert protection system knowledge, collaboration with vendors, and hands-on oversight from design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 8+ years of applicable experience in protective relaying and electric power systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead engineer function for large or complex projects.
• Develop equipment specifications and design packages with technical oversight.
• Perform factory or field visits to support design reviews, inspections, and testing.
• Coordinate with vendors during the manufacturing process.
• Perform site visits for field inspections and develop technical recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs and calculations.
• Perform relay coordination and protection system analysis.
