Qualifications

• Expertise in the design, operation, and maintenance of protection and control systems.
• Proficiency in protective relaying systems and components.
• Knowledge of communication systems (power line carrier, leased circuits, microwave, fiber).
• Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead engineer function for large or complex projects with design packages and technical oversight.
• Perform factory or field visits to support design reviews, inspections, evaluations, and testing.
• Coordinate with vendors during the manufacturing process.
• Perform site visits to complete field inspections and develop technical recommendations.
• Manage the technical and commercial aspects of engineering projects with external design entities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and review work packages.
• Perform advanced relay setting calculations and support field installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Review disturbances and protective relaying performance, recommending corrective actions.
