Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Propulsion Engineer III to own valve components for the BE-7 engine program. You will lead design, analysis, testing, and production support, coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, drawing preparation, and collaboration with Systems Engineering, Avionics, and Test teams to mitigate risk and verify requirements. A strong background in valve systems and propulsion is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, or physics) required.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with valves, pumps, mechanisms, electromechanical actuation, or fluid control systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Own valve component development from concept through production.
• Design parts and assemblies, define drawings, select materials and processes.
• Plan, set up, and execute component-level testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers to meet schedule and quality goals.
• Coordinate with program leaders and other teams to understand cross-program impacts and drive decisions.
