Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Principal Specialist to lead integration, testing, and operations of ground and test systems for propulsion and support hardware, with deep hands‑on experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic, and electro‑mechanical systems.

You will mentor technicians, drive manufacturing documentation, and ensure safety, quality, and repeatability across programs, with up to 25% travel to test sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM or 25+ years aerospace experience.
• 15+ years with pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic and electromechanical assemblies.
• 25+ years assembling, testing, and troubleshooting fluid and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Ability to read fluid/electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, test, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership for development, fabrication, integration, and testing.
• Lead standards, procedures, and processes for cleaning and testing facilities.
• Develop manufacturing work orders and manage material requirements.
• Coordinate with technicians during assembly and testing of hardware.
• Maintain configuration control and support continuous improvement.
