Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal Specialist to lead the development, fabrication, integration, and testing of pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic, and electro-mechanical hardware for launch and ground support. This role requires hands-on expertise and strong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure safety, quality, and repeatability across programs.

The position emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and mentorship of technicians, with up to 25% travel to test

Qualifications

• 25+ years in aerospace/test/ground-systems environments preferred.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret fluid/electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across design, fabrication, integration, and testing.
• Coordinate with technicians during cleaning, assembly, and checkout.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for failed components.
• Develop manufacturing work orders and manage material requirements.
• Maintain configuration control of engineering drawings and docs.
• Mentor technicians in assembly, testing, and maintenance of complex systems.
