Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Ground System Fluid Mechanical Engineer III to lead the design and integration of world-class test stands for propulsion engines and spaceflight vehicles. You will oversee fluid and structural systems, coordinate suppliers, and drive safety-focused design reviews.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with program management, and perform hazard analyses for test operations, contributing to strategic planning with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years in fluid/mechanical systems or test operations.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering systems and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop new test systems with multiple subsystems.
• Serve as systems architect for complex ground test operations.
• Coordinate design reviews for test systems.
• Manage suppliers, controlling cost, schedule, and technical design.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Drive decisions for propellant and vacuum fluid systems.
• Collaborate with program management to align solutions with requirements.
• Lead hazard assessments and risk mitigation for test operations (HAZOP).
• Engage senior leadership on strategic technical planning.
