Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. seeks a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer to lead test campaigns for production propulsion systems and micro-turbojets.

You will own test setups, write Python software on Linux, and supervise live engine hot-fire operations for safe, repeatable testing. You will design test hardware, calibrate sensors, analyze data, and produce detailed test summaries while partnering with propulsion developers to adapt to evolving engine designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of advanced knowledge accepted in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years hands-on propulsion testing or engine test cell operations.
• Direct experience as Test Director or lead test engineer on live engine runs.
• Proficiency writing automated test software in Python on Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Test Director during engine hot-fire tests and manage test stand operations.
• Design, build, and maintain propulsion test hardware and racks.
• Write Python-based test software to control engine profiles and record telemetry.
• Interface CAN bus with ECUs, actuators, pumps, and test stand controllers.
• Calibrate sensors and manage data acquisition during tests.
• Analyze telemetry and generate test summary reports.
• Train engineers and technicians on propulsion test practices.
