Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA to own propulsion test campaigns for production-ready micro-turbojets, developing test racks, instrumentation, and Python-based control software on Linux systems.

You will serve as Test Director during hot-fire runs, ensuring safety, data integrity, and adherence to acceptance criteria while collaborating with propulsion development engineers.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years in propulsion testing or engine test cell operations.
• Experience as Test Director during live engine runs or hazardous hot-fire operations preferred.
• Proficiency in Python-based test software and data acquisition on Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Test Director during engine and micro-turbojet hot-fire runs and manage test stand operations.
• Design, build, and maintain propulsion test hardware and instrumentation racks.
• Write automated test procedures and data acquisition software in Python for Linux/Unix.
• Coordinate CAN bus interfaces with ECUs, actuators, and test stand controllers.
• Analyze post-test telemetry and generate detailed test reports.
• Ensure safety and reliability of test campaigns and facilities.
