Job summary

Prometheus Energetics, a U.S.-based propulsion supplier, seeks an experienced Test Engineer to own propulsion test infrastructure from development through production support. You will lead test campaigns, develop SOPs, and ensure safety and data fidelity across SRM testing and qualification activities.

The role requires hands-on propulsion test stand operations, hazard containment, and a track record of delivering reliable test results in high-hazard environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace/Mechanical/Chemical) or equivalent.
• 4–10+ years of propulsion test experience for Senior level roles.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and sustain propulsion test stands and ground support equipment for SRM tests.
• Lead test planning, SOPs, hazard analyses, pre-fire checklists, and countdown sequences.
• Direct energetic operations as Test Conductor or Lead Test Engineer.
• Analyze test data and support anomaly investigations (FRACAS/MRB).
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
