Job summary

Prometheus Energetics, a U.S.-based propulsion systems provider, seeks an experienced Test Engineer to lead SRM test operations, from development to flight-test support. You will own test stand design, DAQ integration, safety protocols, and data analysis, ensuring data fidelity and mission success.

The role requires hands-on propulsion testing experience (4–10+ years), robust knowledge of control systems, and the ability to operate in a high-hazard environment with DoD/compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline; 4–6 years propulsion test experience for Engineer
• 7–10+ years owning test stand infra and leading energetic operations for Senior Engineer
• Experience with high‑speed DAQ and high‑frequency sensors
• Knowledge of DoD 4145.26‑M or equivalent hazardous safety standards
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and sustain propulsion test stands and GSE for static firings
• Develop test plans, SOPs, hazard analyses, and countdown sequences
• Lead test conductor roles during energetic operations and ensure safety perimeters
• Analyze test data, correlate with models, and perform FRACAS/MRB investigations
• Mentor junior engineers and drive testability in hardware design
