Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Leader to guide the development of controllable solid propulsion systems. You will mentor ~10 engineers, drive trade studies, and ensure designs meet mission requirements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities include leading physical design, creating GD&T data, and supporting manufacturability and testing. A strong background in propulsion hardware and security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/ mechanical engineering with 10+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong CAD capabilities, GD&T, and tolerance analysis demonstrated in complex propulsion hardware.
• Proven leadership of high-performing engineering teams and effective communication with executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for solid propulsion systems and related components.
• Develop 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and GD&T data packages.
• Perform simulations for structural, thermal, and dynamic performance and optimize designs.
• Mentor engineers, manage priorities, and coordinate with program management.
• Ensure compliance with mission requirements and security clearance considerations.
