Job summary

The Boeing Company in Charleston, SC, is seeking Propulsion & Fuel System Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the 787 Propulsion Charleston Team. You will work on integration, testing, and production support for the 787 program at North Charleston and Propulsion Center.

You’ll operate in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams, focusing on safety, quality, and on-time delivery, with opportunities for technical leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
• Willing to travel 10-20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of propulsion and fuel system changes across airplane systems.
• Plan, oversee, review, and approve engineering products and deliverables.
• Maintain Boeing design oversight for supplier components; review drawings, ECPs and updates.
• Engage suppliers to define, plan, and execute qualification testing.
• Manage SCD requirements, revisions and new development.
• Provide on-site factory and delivery support in North Charleston; troubleshoot fuel issues.
• Investigate and resolve fleet, production, and supplier issues to maintain flow.
• Coordinate test plans, procedures, and reports; analyze data for dispositions.
• Analyze system performance data for safety and airworthiness investigations.
• Coordinate across internal partners to meet milestones.
• Communicate status to Propulsion and Program leadership; represent Boeing with partners.
• Work with supervision or self-directed depending on needs.
