Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) in North Charleston, South Carolina, seeks Systems Integration Engineers (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the 787 Systems Integration Engineering team. You will collaborate across a broad range of airplane systems to define, integrate and deliver multi-system solutions for the 787 program.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, problem solving and communication with executive leadership, with travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.
• Lead teams across Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.
• Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and various 787 program teams such as change management, supply chain, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers
• Implements systems engineering best practices, and process improvements
• Working knowledge of the aircraft certification process
• Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships
• Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team in order to synthesize complex information
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
