Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Propulsion Engineer to own the feed-system design for spacecraft propulsion modules, from tanks to thrusters, with a focus on safety, verifiability, and manufacturability.

You will lead fluid architecture, component selection, testing campaigns, and ensure range-safety compliance while collaborating with in-house propulsion teams and manufacturing to enable high-rate production.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or related engineering field.
• 6+ years in fluid systems engineering with propellant feed experience.
• Deep knowledge of pressurized fluid system design and safety factors of MEOP/proof/burst.
• Fluids analysis including flow, pressure-drop, transients, and thermal effects.
• Hands-on experience with fluid-system test campaigns and hazardous operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the propellant feed-system design for propulsion modules, including architecture and routing.
• Define safety factors (MEOP, proof, burst) and margins.
• Perform fluids analyses for budgets, transients, and thermal effects.
• Design tubing, joints, and routing for launch environments and ICDs.
• Plan and execute fluid-system tests (leak, proof, burst, functional).
• Ensure range safety compliance and hazard analyses for flight hardware.
• Support propellant servicing from safety perspective and interface with component teams.
