Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer with deep expertise in structures and hardware integration to design propulsion modules for Apex spacecraft.

You will own the mechanical design of the module, including structure, mounting, and installation of flow controllers, PPUs, and thrusters, ensuring buildable, flight-ready assemblies. You will collaborate with in-house thruster, cathode, flow controller, and PPU teams to optimize component and module design, and work with

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, aerospace engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in mechanical or aerospace engineering with strong structural design.
• Experience designing hardware for launch and space environments.
• Proficiency with CAD, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing to transition designs into hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of propulsion modules, including module structures and mounting interfaces.
• Design module structures to meet vehicle-level structural and environmental requirements.
• Define and manage interfaces between propulsion components and the module, and between the module and spacecraft.
• Co-optimize hardware and module design with in-house propulsion teams.
• Perform and review structural analysis, including hand calculations and FEA.
