Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to own the feed-system design for spacecraft propulsion modules.

You will lead the fluids architecture from tank through thruster, directing test campaigns and ensuring safety, verifiability, and producibility across manufacturing teams. You will work with thruster, cathode, flow controller, and PPU teams to optimize interfaces and drive design-for-manufacturing while meeting range-safety standards and ICDs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or related engineering field.
  • 6+ years (Sr) / 8+ years (Staff) in fluid systems engineering with hands-on work on propellant feed systems.
  • Deep knowledge of pressurized fluid system design and safety factors.
  • Strong fluids analysis skills including flow, pressure-drop, transients, and thermal-fluid behavior.
  • Hands-on experience defining/executing fluid-system test campaigns (leak, proof, burst).
  • Experience with range safety requirements and hazardous operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own propellant feed-system design for propulsion modules, including architecture and routing.
  • Define FEED-system testing campaigns and write procedures and GSE requirements.
  • Work with in-house propulsion components to co-optimize feed interfaces.
  • Ensure manufacturability, cleanliness, and build-time efficiency in production.
  • Lead root-cause investigations on fluidic issues and mentor other engineers.
