Job summary

Apex Space, Inc. is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to own the feed-system design for propulsion modules, guiding architecture, routing, and components through test campaigns and space flight qualification.

You will work with in-house propulsion teams and manufacturing to ensure safe, verifiable, and buildable fluid systems, and you will mentor others while advancing verification and safety requirements for spaceflight.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or related engineering.
• 6+ years in fluid systems engineering; senior roles 6+ or staff 8+.
• Deep knowledge of pressurized fluid systems, MEOP, proof and burst.
• Strong fluids analysis: flow, pressure-drop, transients, thermal effects.
• Experience defining and executing fluid-system test campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Own propellant feed-system design for propulsion modules, including architecture and routing.
• Define safety factors and MEOP/proof/burst requirements.
• Lead fluidic test campaigns: leak, proof, burst, functional testing.
• Ensure range safety compliance and hazardous operations procedures.
• Mentor other engineers on feed-system design and safety.
