Job summary

Wharton-Smith Construction Group in Sanford, FL seeks a Sr. Proposal Specialist with 5+ years writing proposals in the construction field.

You will lead all phases of proposal prep, from writing to production and distribution, reporting to the Proposal Production Manager. The role drives marketing initiatives in a fast-paced environment, coordinates materials, assembles documents, and coordinates with teams for client presentations.

Qualifications

5+ years directly related experience in management and development of proposals.
Construction industry experience highly desired.
Experience leading large proposal/bid efforts ($40M+).
Experience leading proposal efforts for cooperative agreements, JVs and contracts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Coordinate to compile and track materials for proposals per deadlines.
Assemble proposal documents in various software formats and with others.
Write and edit project summaries, resumes of project personnel, and other supporting information.
Ensure proposal material aligns with bid requirements and branding rules.
Proofread, edit, and standardize proposal text.
Assist in updating and maintaining the project library at proposal, build and post-construction stages.
Attend project milestone events for assigned projects.
Attend and present at client selection forums.
Award submission production and submissions.
Supervision of work product of Proposal Coordinators and Proposal Assistants as needed.
General marketing and communication tasks will be assigned as needed.
Some travel and overtime may be required.
