Wharton-Smith, Inc. in Sanford, FL, is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent – Water/Wastewater to lead field operations on large-scale projects.

You will drive project execution, mentor field leadership teams, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals. This role requires 15+ years of construction leadership experience, a strong track record in managing multimillion-dollar projects, and a commitment to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and extensive field leadership experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 15 years of construction-related or construction management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior field leadership or Project Superintendent experience preferred.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and mentoring field leadership teams preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large field teams and establish clear operational expectations.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with executive leadership, project teams, clients, and subcontractors.

Responsabilités

• Leadership and operational oversight for multiple or large, complex projects.
• Mentor Project Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Foremen.
• Assist executive leadership with strategic planning and operational improvements.
• Monitor performance, productivity, quality, manpower, and schedule compliance across projects.
• Staffing decisions, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Promote culture, operational consistency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee construction execution to ensure compliance with standards, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors on critical matters.
• Ensure safety leadership and OSHA compliance across projects.
