Job summary

HES, a premier national facilities management provider focused on educational institutions, seeks a Proposal Writer in Knoxville, TN. This full-time role supports bidding, proposal development, and marketing collateral.

You will work with marketing and sales teams to turn complex information into clear content, meet deadlines, and ensure consistent messaging across RFP responses while enabling remote and onsite work in Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Communications, or similar field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in writing, editing, proofreading, and producing large documents as part of a creative or marketing/sales team.
• Experience in responding to RFPs, ITBs with familiarity with online Portals is a must.

Responsibilities

• Writes, edits, proofreads, formats, and prepares proposals and bids.
• Analyzes RFPs to identify requirements for assigned proposal.
• Develops proposals by organizing information including objectives, deliverables, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, and evaluation.
• Meets deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and production.
• Ensures compliance, completeness, and consistent messaging throughout the proposal.
• Develops, edits, proofreads, and prepares copy for marketing collateral.
• Works with marketing and sales teams to ensure content aligns with strategy.
