HES, a premier national provider of facilities management services focused on educational institutions, seeks a Financial Analyst FP&A in Knoxville, TN. This role partners with Field Operations, supports KPI reporting, budgets, and forecasting to optimize profitability across multiple accounts.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, 5 years of experience, and expert analytical skills. This full-time position involves cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Firm grasp of accounting principles and business operations.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications.
• Ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills.
• Self-starter with good time management.
• The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Finance Partner with Field Operations to gain understanding about their accounts.
• Assist with updating KPI reporting for weekly financial operation reviews (WOR).
• Assist with reconciling accounts to true up Monthly Forecast vs Actual reporting to identify variances.
• Identify reporting inconsistencies within the business units and help to improve the overall financial process.
• Assist in Data Integrity.
• Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins.
• Assist in preparing the Annual budget. Create and maintain budgets for each account by working with internal finance team as well as Field management.
