Job summary

Kuali, Inc. seeks an experienced Proposal Writer to lead end-to-end proposal development across our higher education software portfolio. You will partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, Security, and more to deliver compliant, persuasive responses.

You will translate complex product capabilities into clear proposals and maintain a high-quality content library while driving improvements to win rates and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years writing and managing proposals, RFP responses, or similar documents.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals with aggressive deadlines.
• Strong project management and attention to detail.
• Experience gathering information across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other requests.
• Write, edit, and refine persuasive content with subject-matter experts.
• Manage proposal schedules, milestones, and submission deadlines.
• Maintain proposal content library, templates, and response database.
• Ensure proposals align with messaging, branding, and positioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with Sales, Product, Security, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
• Conduct post-submission reviews and competitive analysis to improve win rates.
