Job summary

Vast is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the end-to-end proposal development for high-value DoW, IC, and commercial satellite bus pursuits. This on-site role in Long Beach reports to the Director, CLD Proposal Management and requires deep familiarity with space hardware programs and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive proposal experience in defense/intelligence domains, with a track record of successful, large-scale wins.

Qualifications

• 10 years of proposal management experience, with defense/intelligence focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of translating technical content into clear narratives.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects or R&D efforts, preferably in space/ satellite programs.
• Experience with the full proposal lifecycle including RFIs/RFPs, pre-award discussions, and post-award kickoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal development for DoW, IC, and commercial satellite bus pursuits.
• Develop win strategies and communicate strengths across proposal sections.
• Create and maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and win themes with senior leadership.
