Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Proposal Analyst or Senior Proposal Analyst to support faculty and research staff in developing, preparing, and submitting research proposals to external sponsors.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with sponsor and university guidelines, reviewing budgets, and providing guidance for corrections, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the preparation, processing, and submission of research grants and/or contract proposals.
• Experience working with Electronic Research Administration (eRA).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, state, local and university sponsored project guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze University sponsored project proposals for compliance with sponsor, federal, state, local and university guidelines and regulations.
• Analyze and review budgets for sponsored project proposals and contracts for accuracy and compliance with sponsor, federal, state, local and university guidelines and regulations.
• Provide counsel and guidance for budgetary corrections and for corrections to proposals.
• Enter and update proposal data in UT Research Management System (UTRMS) and assist with submission processes.
• Mentor and train staff in proposal development and submission processes.
