Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience at the Grants & Contracts Specialist level
• Progressively responsible grants management experience in higher ed, nonprofit, research, or public sector
• Experience managing proposals and awards with deadlines accurately and timely
• Knowledge of federal grant regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work in a team and independently with strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn full life cycle of grant management and provide excellent support

Responsibilities

• Assist with award setup and fiscal management including budgeting, projections, modifications, reporting, and expenditure reviews
• Process invoices, reimbursements, vendor forms, and travel authorizations for PIs and researchers
• Monitor balances, reconcile accounts, and maintain dashboards and PI reports
• Coordinate HR actions for sponsor-funded positions and tuition reductions for graduate assistants
• Collaborate with PIs, department staff, and external stakeholders to resolve pre- and post-award issues
• Engage in professional development and align with UT policies and guidelines
