Job summary

Avanti Residential is seeking an Area Manager to direct and supervise site management across a portfolio of communities in the Property Management Department. You will drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, and asset preservation while leading Community Managers and on-site staff.

The role requires strong financial stewardship, budget control, and KPI performance, with a focus on leasing, resident relations, and turnover activities. Growth opportunities exist for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in property management, real estate, business or related field preferred.
• Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in property management with increasing responsibilities.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio with 800+ multi-family units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build a productive, motivated, and goal-oriented culture across every community in the assigned portfolio.
• Lead positive change management behavior and support Community Managers through organizational updates.
• Oversee resident, vendor, prospective resident, and guest inquiries, and maintain professional relationships across the portfolio.
• Hold Community Managers accountable to budget guidelines throughout the year and ensure timely response to monthly variances.
• Review resident files for transfers, evictions, reasonable accommodation requests, medical requests, and complaints; evaluate and implement decisions.
• Oversee the physical condition of each community to ensure it meets quality and presentation standards.
