Job summary

Westminster Management in Slidell, LA is seeking a Senior Property Maintenance Manager to lead a maintenance team across multifamily communities. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, BAS, and vertical transportation while ensuring resident satisfaction and safety.

You will mentor staff, manage service requests and preventive maintenance, supervise budgets, and coordinate vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in multifamily property management or 5+ years in property management.
• Deep knowledge of maintenance practices, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations.
• Proven leadership in managing teams and coordinating with residents and management.
• Tech savvy with property management software and collaboration tools.
• On-call and extended-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a dynamic maintenance team to deliver top-notch service.
• Oversee all community maintenance work, including service requests, preventive, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain effective maintenance programs to protect and maintain the property.
• Keep an inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Serve as a role model for maintenance staff and follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable living environment for residents and staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and leadership to ensure the community is well-maintained.
• Manage vendor contracts and the annual maintenance budget.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inventory updates, and team evaluations.
• Train, mentor, and inspire maintenance staff.
