Mercury Insurance Company is seeking a skilled Property Large Loss Adjuster to investigate and resolve high-value homeowner and commercial property claims. This senior role combines remote work with field visits, requiring advanced coverage knowledge and a strong ability to lead from the field.

You will inspect properties, develop and validate complex estimates, negotiate settlements, and mentor teammates while coordinating with vendors and internal partners to ensure timely, fair resolutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of successful property claims handling experience.
• On-site inspections and detailed estimate writing experience.
• Experience handling high-exposure losses and complex claims.
• Licensing as state adjuster and continuing education compliance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate high-severity property claims to confirm facts and causes.
• Prepare and revise repair estimates using Xactimate.
• Negotiate settlements balancing customer service and cost.
• Collaborate with leadership, SIU, subrogation, and vendors.
• Document claims thoroughly and maintain timely file notes.
