Job summary

Mercury Insurance Company is seeking a senior Property Large Loss Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve sophisticated homeowner and commercial property claims. This role offers remote and field-based work with extensive travel to inspect properties, develop estimates, and coordinate with internal teams for fair and timely resolutions.

You will leverage advanced property claims knowledge, technology tools like Xactimate, and virtual collaboration to guide complex files while mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of successful property claims handling experience.
• Licensing requirements for state adjusters and CE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver empathetic, timely service to customers, vendors and parties during complex loss situations.
• Investigate high-severity property claims to confirm facts, origin and cause of loss and exposures.
• Prepare and revise repair estimates using Xactimate and other tools, with on-site inspections as needed.
• Negotiate scope, pricing and settlement with policyholders, contractors, and other involved parties.
