Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing.
• Minimum 10 years of litigation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in first-party property insurance law.
• Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters such as coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
• Review insurance policies, claim documentation, correspondence, and related materials to assess coverage and identify issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop strategies and stay current with evolving first-party property insurance laws.
• Manage a diverse caseload of cases, drafting pleadings, motions, and ensuring documentation is organized.
• Engage in negotiations with insurance carriers and opposing counsel for favorable settlements.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Provide clear legal advice to policyholders about rights, obligations, and options under policies.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage cases effectively.
• Execute strategies to market to potential clients with Business Development and Marketing support.
