Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Washington state.
• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience in first-party property insurance law.
• Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
• Conduct reviews of policies and claim materials to assess coverage and developstrong cases.
• Perform legal research to craft innovative strategies and stay current on insurance law.
• Manage a diverse caseload, drafting pleadings, motions, and maintaining organized files.
• Negotiate with insurers and opposing counsel to obtain favorable settlements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Advise policyholders clearly on rights and obligations under policies.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure seamless case management.
• Market to potential clients and contribute to business development in Seattle.
