Job summary

Tailored Management seeks a seasoned attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience focused on first-party property insurance. You will handle cases from inception to resolution, collaborate with a skilled team, and contribute to business development in a nationally recognized firm.

You will review policies, conduct research, draft pleadings, negotiate settlements, and advocate in court while mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience in first-party property insurance.
• Proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and trial skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters including coverage disputes, denials, and bad faith claims.
• Review insurance policies and related materials to assess coverage and identify issues.
• Conduct legal research to develop strategies and stay current with laws and precedents.
• Manage a diverse caseload, drafting pleadings and motions, and organizing documentation.
• Negotiate with carriers and opposing counsel for favorable settlements.
• Appear in court, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Provide clear legal advice to policyholders about rights and options.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure smooth case management.
• Support business development and marketing teams to grow the practice in the local area.
