Job summary

Snoqualmie Indian Tribe is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in the Washington, DC area to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and capital improvement work across Tribal facilities and housing. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems while ensuring compliance with HUD/NAHASDA, NSPIRE/HQS, and safety standards.

You will coordinate grant-funded rehab and modernization projects, supervise work orders, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or related experience.
Minimum of six (6) years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or related experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems.
Coordinate and document grant-funded rehabilitation and capital improvement projects.
Respond to routine and emergency work orders prioritizing health and safety.
Maintain compliance with HUD/NAHASDA/NSPIRE/HQS and other federal requirements.
Lead maintenance tasks, mentor junior staff, and assist Facilities Manager.
