Nationwide is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist III, Property Large Loss to handle a broad range of property claims from start to finish. Role requires leadership, technical proficiency in Xactimate, and ability to manage reserves and settlements with independence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Advanced degrees in law or related field desirable.
• Xactimate certification ongoing (Level 1 within 1 year, Level 2 within 2 years).
• State licensing as required; CPCU/IIA preferred for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Handle assigned property claims promptly and effectively, including complex losses.
• Accurately pay claims based on policy provisions and fees.
• Determine policy coverages and apply standard methodologies per guidelines.
• Open/close/increment reserves and maintain knowledge of industry practices.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to less experienced staff.
