Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Field Claims Specialist to investigate and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and in person, with travel to policy locations as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years of property claims experience, strong knowledge of Xactimate, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Lifting roofs and on-site inspections may be involved, with CAT duties and travel as required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of property claims experience.
• Solid knowledge of insurance theory and practices.

Responsibilities

• Handles all assigned claims promptly and effectively, with little to no direction and oversight.
• Determines proper policy coverages and applies appropriate claims practices to resolve cases per guidelines.
• Opens, closes and adjusts reserves according to company practices.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to Nationwide customers.
