Job summary

RSUI is seeking a Sr. Claim Specialist for our Property Claims unit in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on specialized, technical handling for E&S commercial property with a strong emphasis on policy language and exposure evaluation.

The position requires 6+ years of property claims experience and a college degree or equivalent, plus excellent communication and analytical skills. RSUI operates on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office weekly and offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent property claims experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of property claims experience, including substantial experience in E&S or commercial property.
• Technical experience in claims handling, coverage and policy language.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication (telephone, email, interpersonal).
• Knowledge of specialized claim handling and investigation processes.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assertive daily handling of Property Claims with exposure to Property and Binding Authority Underwriting policies, updating reinsurers as needed.
• Provide reporting on files to Unit Leader/ Sr. Management with reserving recommendations and action plans.
• Act independently in evaluating claim exposures within assigned dollar authority.
• Attend business-related functions such as team meetings, mediations, trials and company events.
• May perform other related tasks as assigned based on business needs.
