Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking a Senior General Adjuster to lead Property claims handling and BI coverage evaluations. The role requires at least five years of Property claims experience, with travel around 10% to loss sites and meetings with insureds.

You will coordinate with independent adjusters and underwriters, assess coverage, and contribute to policy wordings while maintaining high standards of written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience handling Property claims.
• Travel up to 10% for loss site visits and meetings.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds and other insurers.
• Collaborate with Underwriters on coverage and policy wordings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds and other participating insurers.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with insureds and market members (approx. 10% travel).
• Maintain focus on Property claims throughout the adjustment process.
