Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking a Senior General Adjuster to lead Property claims management and coordinate with independent adjusters while evaluating coverage with insureds. The ideal candidate has at least five years of Property claims experience and strong communication and writing skills to navigate complex coverage scenarios.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience handling Property claims.
• Knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds.
• Travel to loss sites with approx. 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds and other participating insurers.
• Work with underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with insureds and market members (~10% travel).
