Job summary

Starr Insurance, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks a Senior General Adjuster to manage Property claims with a focus on Business Interruption coverage. You will evaluate policy coverage, coordinate with underwriters, and communicate clearly with insureds.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of five years' experience handling Property claims, strong written and verbal skills, and are willing to travel about 10% to loss sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the handling of Property claims.
• Knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage.
• Policy interpolation with strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction to the adjuster on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.
• Looking for a minimum of 5 years experience in the handling of Property claims.
