Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking a Senior General Adjuster to lead property claims handling and policy interpretation. This role emphasizes knowledge of Property policy and Business Interruption coverage, as well as clear written communication and policy interoperability.

You will manage claims administration in the system, coordinate with independent adjusters, collaborate with underwriters, and travel to loss sites as needed (approximately 10%).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the handling of Property claims.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction to the adjuster on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.
• Looking for a minimum of 5 years experience in the handling of Property claims.
