Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior General Adjuster to manage the Property claims process with a focus on Property losses and Business Interruption coverage. You will evaluate coverage, coordinate with independent adjusters, underwriters, and insureds to ensure accurate claim handling and settlement.

The role requires knowledge of Property policy and BI coverage, plus strong communication and writing skills to navigate complex claims.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Property claims is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• Ability to work with independent adjusters and underwriters.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with insureds is expected (~10% travel).

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Coordinate with independent adjusters and provide direction on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Evaluate policy coverage and communicate with insureds and other participating insurers.
• Collaborate with underwriters on policy coverage and wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim (approx. 10% travel).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in handling Property claims.
